The AX series is the standard steady rest model, available in AXI and AXE types. The AXI type features a cylinder integrated into the steady rest body, making it a compact, standard self-centering steady rest. This model provides the same clamping force as the AXE type, which has an external cylinder, but requires less installation space. Coolant through arm and a sealed body are provided as standard features across all products.
